Fake news

JED hear snippets of things in school. They aren't all right because there's the 'telephone game' effect where things get lost in translation.

They tell it to each other and then, it must be true because they are not the only ones who know it. (self-perpetuating prophecy)

Their version of the world is a hilarious one.

Jordan: A King got poisoned.
Me: Really? In one of your stories?
Jordan: No, in an airport. A king got poisoned in an airport and died.
Me: A KIM got poisoned. A guy, his name was KIM, he got poisoned in the airport and died.

That led to a whole discussion about North Korea and somehow the conversation led to North Korea having nuclear weapons.

Me: The world gets very upset when North Korea tests its nuclear weapons.
Evan: What do you mean test?
Me: They launch it to see how far it can fly and whether it can hit its target.
Evan (slightly disturbed): Where do they test it?
Me: Usually, they launch it over water.
Evan: Then the missile drops into the water and everything explodes?
Jordan: Then BOOM, all the fish die?
Me: Yes or they mutate with 3 eyes.

Muffin (walking in): What? There are 3 eyed fish in North Korea? Cool!

A little while later.
Jordan (singing): There's a hole in the bottom of the sea
Me: What?
Jordan: The nuclear missile hit the sea. So there's a hole in the bottom of the sea!

Alternative News.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
