Push comes to shove

The twins have gradually discovered that they are one part of a pair of two. They've begun slowly exploring one another. Often this is done by eating one another's head/hair/fingers and the pulling of hair. Today though, they've discovered yet a new way of playing with one another. Well, at least Evan has anyway.

Guess what he is doing here.

He really isn't reaching out for me.

Catch....release and then grab to eat.

I suspect, very soon, all my sentences are going to begin with "No Evan!" and the poor boy's gonna start thinking that "NO" is his first name and "Evan"'s his last name.

Thankfully, his sister is made of pretty stern stuff and lets him push her around even if it hurts. She'll only yowl if she's already in a grumpy mood and his antics annoy her. I think she's inherited more of me than I could have ever bargained for. I've been told that it's going to be fun to parent her.

But at the same time, she has developed the most cheeky of expressions that she would bestow upon her audience when she feels like it. Here, she's being fed persimmon for the first time and she knows that Mommy's trying to take photographs of her. These are amongst the very few photos that I took that aren't blurred because my daughter makes the energizer bunny look like the slow tortoise from China. But they capture her precocious and inherent penchant for high jinks and the fact that she's got one razor sharp tooth.

Cheeky piranha salute before trying to decide whether it was worth her time to devour her toy.

Meanwhile, Mommy has discovered she has Elastigirl qualities and it is somewhat freaky.

And oh yes, Baby J is learning that crawling is a means of getting around and it's as fast as slithering around on her belly. So's Evan but I don't have any clear photos of him doing it. Task for tomorrow.
