Since I did a photo thing for Evan, I have to do one for Baby J as well. She, like her brother has boundless energy but she expends it in different ways. She busies herself with small things, that she is determined to get right. She spent about 2 days trying to master putting on her Great Grandpa's slippers and once she got it, she was traipsing around the house in it. You have to give it to the girl. She doesn't give up till she figures it out.
She became very adept at walking around in it. The only thing she couldn't do was manoeuvre herself up the step with it. That's why she took them off, tossed them up the step, climbed up the step and put them back on, nothing to it.
Like her brother, she likes her wellies. She looks like a fishmonger in them but I hope she doesn't become one because then, she will never eat fish again and eating fish is important to her.
She also has no fear. This is at their cousin Becca's birthday party. Finally a slide that they can slide down without being held back by friction. Baby J had a ball of a time, coming down on her front, on her back lying down, sitting up, you name it. Obviously, she will enjoy amusement park rides and roller coaster rides very much unlike her mother who did not go on one till Packrat came into the picture. And even then, his ears took a lot of abuse while she got used to the giant dips and plunges. I think Baby J, will have no such fear. And I think that's a good thing. Most of the time anyway.
When she lunges and propels herself down the stairs without help or any knowledge that she can break her neck and many other parts of her body, it's not a good thing. And this happened yesterday. She forgot herself and wanted to go downstairs in a big hurry before anyone could catch her. She/ They really bear watching and my heart in throat experience yesterday bore testament to the fact that one can never have too many pairs of hands or be too careful.
