Chilli Padi Baby

Most of the time, I blog about how easy and sweet Muffin is. He generally is a sweet baby, smiley and with a great sense of humour.

The thing is in the last month or so, he's also developed a more assertive, fierce and almost quick-tempered side.

Even though he is about 3 days shy of being 9 months old, the little Muffin understands simple words and understands the words that warn him that what he wants to do, he shouldn't do. And when that happens, he grits his 3 teeth, tenses up visibly and makes constipated sounds with tightly balled up fists.



And when all else fails, there is loud, angry crying that is immediately silenced when he is picked up or he is given what he was demanding for. Of course, I don't give in to him. This often leads to more crying, screaming and eventually tantrum like anger. At this age, he is still easy to distract and he forgets quite quickly why he was chucking such a royal fit.

We suspect he is like that because every fibre in his 9 month old body knows that to get what he wants, he's going to stand his ground, fight for it and demand it so loud that he overrides his bossy and imperious siblings. I just hope that he doesn't use his powers for bad because than Mommy will be forced to use her powers on him.
